Default Problem with 96 Tahoe.........

I was driving home the other day and about 5 miles from home the car just shut down. Died in mid-stride. It had happened to me one month before and I thought it was the fuel pump. I replaced it, cleaned up the ground and threw a new fuel filter in. Then the exact same thing happened. The problem is the next day Icome back and it starts. This has happened both times.Where should I start? If there an ignition module or something that goes on these. AsI said, it is a 96 2 door with 165,000 on it. Help!

I would start with cleaning the intake valve by removing the air intake tube and spraying some carb cleaner inside the valve.

Yeah, I agree with bringdanoisemik1..clean the intake valve and the Chevrolet Pickup Valve Cover through spraying some car cleaner.

Not sure about the valve cover, but definitely the intake valve with "carb cleaner"
