Default Rear driver window not working

I have a 1999 K1500 Suburban that I recently purchased, and I just noticed that the rear driver window doesn't work, from either the master switch on the driver's door or the switch on the rear door itself. When I push either switch, I can hear the motor trying to work, but the window doesn't go anywhere. I have been told, by a couple different sources, that it's most likely the window regulator. I have done some extensive research, but have not been able to find any rear door window regulators.

Are the front door regulators compatible with the rear doors? And if not, where can I find the proper rear window regulators?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Get the part number from your Chevy parts dept and then look it up on GM Parts Direct or Rock Auto.

I have same problem on my 1996 Suburban. Rear driver's side window not working. Did you resolve yours? Any suggestions appreciated.

Thank you

Had a 2005 Yukon Denali; both sides the windows in the 2nd doors would not operate. Since we very rarely had passengers or wanted those windows open (Arizona, AC), I simply pulled them up and temporarily secured each in the up position with two sheet metal screws. When selling, I did disclose this to potential buyers, and was not an issue. Neither was the sunroof that would sometimes fail to close, so its fuse was removed to keep it closed. I guess GM just has such issues....
