This is a picture of the hinge that attaches to the rear glass on a 2004 Tahoe. I noticed it wasn't shutting right, and low and behold, the hinge was loose. After scraping back some of the rubber adhesive, I found out that was the only thing holding it on. It also appears that the hinge is shared with that of the entire rear liftgate. So my question: How do I fix this????

 

I'd clean it up good and use quality epoxy

 

Another possible fix would be to use the super glue in a rear view mirror mount repair kit. You would have to make sure both surfaces were very clean.
