Default Rear window defroster

The coiled wire connection to the rear window defroster has come disconnected from the metal connection on the window glass. What can be used to put this connection back? I assume current must pass thru the connection or is it just heat? Is there a special adhesive that is used?

If the terminal end has broken off the glass it can sometimes be soldered back on carefully otherwise a new rear glass hatch will be needed.

Will silver loaded conductive epoxy work? I know that it works for repairing broken grid lines where the tint guys get a little over zealous when trimming to match the lines. []

The flat metal tab on the end of the coiled wire is still intact. Looks like it just came off.

seems to be a big issue in colder states. my glass was replaced 2 times by gm under warranty on my 07 for this problem alone. finally on the 3rd time i tried to fix my self using conductive epoxy. well the clip has not come off, but the defroster currently is not working. i think i am going to try to add a bead of solder to connect the clip to defroster line...
