Default Recommendations on programmer?

Looking to program a door lock switch, rather not give dealer $170 to do it. Any recommendations on what will give me programming functions?

I put in a new window switch, but the vehicle doesn't recognize it. I need to get the vehicle to recognize it so the door lock works.

I've never heard of programming windows switches, but I can look into it. Can't do anything without some basic information though. What's your VIN

Wow. You weren't kidding. Computer programming required to enable a simple switch. That's. ... bananas.

Anyway, an independent auto electrical specialist is going to be cheaper than the dealer, but I would just pay my money. that's a pretty deep rabbit hole.

I'm pretty stubborn and haven't taken a vehicle to a mechanic in probably 15 years except for alignments. Will report back if I figure it out, have to put a new tranny in the Ford first....

It's going to cost A LOT more than $170 to do it yourself (10x or so). And a tremendous amount of your time.
