Redesigned Chevy Tahoe and suburban?
Anyone have an idea or knowledge of a planned redesign of the trucks.
I like the way they are designed now and am considering ordering new ones before a redesign.
Anyone in the know, have info about color choice updates?
That blue for 2012 is awful and the requirement to have a sunroof, to have the navigation radio and dvd player is pure bs. I need the headroom the sunroof steals.

I doubt Barry will let them redesign these big trucks. Actually I'm surprised he allows them to continue making them.
The sales brochure shows the sunroof and rear DVD as optional and the Nav is only standard on the LTZ. Now maybe what the dealer has on the lot have these options but you can order one w/o them.

they are options but in order to have them you have to buy the sun entertainment and destinations package. thats the only way to get nav in an lt
i am looking to order a new build.
i am surprised they are still making them too.
next ones are supposed to be lighter and unibody construction but i cant confirm this

problem is i really dont want unibody, less power. they are rumored to become less truck like and more car like. i dont want a traverse with 4wd.
i need a vehicle that i can off road with, trailer heavy stuff, and trudge through 20 inches of water and snow.

the new explorer is unibody and can do most of that.
if you wait, the 2012s will be cheaper, and you can determine if the 13 will meet your needs. it's win win to wait 5 months for something that will lose $20,000 in value in 2 years.

I saw what will be new 2014 Escalades, Tahoes and Suburbans late last year. They will still be body on frame and will still have the tow ratings we enjoy today. As far as the drive trains are concerned, they should be the same as now. A little more power however. The actual mock ups were in my opinion, very good looking! The chevy will retain the bow tie front end but will be more rounded and the GMC will have a totally new front end in that the head lights will be like the new Cadillacs that will go over the front fenders. Hard to describe, very good looking. We have an 08 Tahoe and we will replace it when they come out. Worth the wait
