Default relentless chirping noise

Anyone have any advice on 2008 suburban chirping noise.
Have replaced ALL belts, fuel pump, alternator and bearings. ... still chirping.
Ready to pull hair out. Have had truck 5 months and out of pocket 1400$ Noone can locate the chirp. Stops for a bit then begins again. Bizarre. And regretting paying 25 for a constant problem. Now suspension service light is on. Hydro lies went out on rear hatch/door.
So disappointed with the pitiful design of the chevy.
Anyone....?

so if you run it with both belts off, the noise is gone?

you need a mechanics stethoscope to isolate this noise.

Thumbs down chirp

Have isolated noise.... appeared to be the tensioner pully.
Replaced and chirp stopped for about 4 hours. Next diagnosis led to altenator bearings. Replaced as well as altenator. After 25k and 2k with repairs in and out of shop beginning to feel as though a 27k lemon. Worst trouble ever had with vehicle. And Noone seems to know what the hell is wrong. Bizarre

Default help for chirp diagnosis

Oh I do desire help. The bizarre part is why it hasn't been solved. Each time there is an adjustment made, tensioner pully, idler, bearings, etc. The chirp stops for hour or hours then resumes. Husband says it isn't rear end because the chirp begins at startup and while parked. I do want advice. And am grateful for any and all.

WD40 lightly sprayed on belt, chirp will disappear. I had a chirp on my 2001 and it was obviously a belt or pulley, serpentine or alt, sound came from serpentine, replaced with new belt. Chirp came back within a week and is most loud when humid, wet, or cooler. Took advice of friend and sprayed wd40 on belt noise has been gone 3 weeks.

So sorry your mechanic took a ridiculous amount of your bank account. Not knowing what to do and experimenting at your expense.

All the while it was your serpentine belt probably replaced with a inexpensive Auto Parts variety...and the noise remained.

Seen it before...replace with a GM belt from the Dealer. Most trucks can get away with the cheapy belt, some can't for whatever reason. Most seem to think it's the water pump pulley once the paint wears off,it rotates on the slick side of the belt.Probably different metallurgy from different OEM suppliers.

Well known in the performance shop arena.

I had a similar problem on a couple of older 5.7L... My power steering pulley had slid forward (off) the pump shaft no more than 1/4". it drove me nuts and I tore up belts and sigh... it's worth a check
