I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe purchased just about 8 months ago. When I bought it the remote worked fine. About 3 months later it stopped working. Now it only works if I unlock the driver door with the key first it will work. It will also work right after u turn it off and get off, I am able to lock the doors with the remote. Wait about 2 minutes after that and it wont work anymore. I got some programming instructions for the remote from a local locksmith but still didn't fix. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

 

Did you change the battery?

 

No Nothing got changed. The Remote just started doing that

 

The remote could be going bad. Put a new battery in the remote and try it again. If that doesn't work then you probably will have to replace the remote.

 

I have already tried the new batteries at the local locksmith but still same issue. When I bought the Tahoe it came with 2 remotes and same issue on both. I don't think its a problem with the remotes
