Default Remote key fob isnt working

New guy here,
Just picked up a 2007 Tahoe LTZ. Replaced the battery in the remote after the message came up saying to. The message didn't go away, so I tried to relearn the remote, even though the remote worked. After the relearn it didn't want to work, but it did activate the TPM relearn when it pressed the lock unlock together. I tried the fuse pull to reset the DSM and did another relearn, still no response from the fob. Now the TPMS shows blank, and I can't get my fob to work. The TPMS is easy to relearn, as I have a tool for that. My problem is the key fob not working. Any advice on this?

Ok, the TOMS is reset, tried the relearn on the fob again. Beeps twice, shut off and removed key. Still no lock, unlock, lift gate, panic, or lift glass.

Just cleaned the fob with electronic cleaner. It’s like it was dipped in Pepsi. Got it all nice and clean. Went out and tried the relearn again. It beeped twice, but not anything else. I’m hoping that I didn’t screw something up when I did the relearn. I really liked the remote start.

you can get fobs on ebay... it’s like $25 for 2 I think. However the ones I go, every few weeks I have to remove the battery, put back in, then it works.... so ... you get what you pay for I guess...
