Remote Start does not Engage Climate Control System
Hello All,
I am trying to set the temperature for my SUV to start warming when the temperature gets colder over the next few months. I don't see a display on the temp. control when I activate the remote start function. I am trying to see what I am doing wrong. I hear a little air coming from the defrost vent but it is not blowing hard at all. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

On remote start it will go to the temp. that was last set when truck was turned off. Just like when you key start system goes to the last temp. set.
It's not going to blow hard / fast until motor coolant gets hot enough to really make heat and heat the interior. The colder it is the longer it takes to warm up.
Really cold weather the 2nd 10 min. remote start is when that big interior starts to warm up. Most air is directed to the windshield to start deicing it.

In the GM fleet in my signature nothing on the dashboard controls light up on remote start. They have to be started via key or push button ignition switch to light up any controls. Not sure on your truck but my '20 Traverse and '16 Equinox has a options screen to turn off / on heated seats on remote start. Owners manual will describe how things work in your truck. If you don't have one you can view it at MyChevrolet.com .
Seats in my fleet seem to come on when it's below 45 F or so.

Hi all - I am new to the forum, but have some experience so I tried searching through the various threads but am coming up dry.
When I remote start the truck, there is no response from the climate control system. I read the manual as well and here is what I found:
"If your vehicle has an automatic climate control system,
the climate control system will default to a heating or
cooling mode depending on the outside temperatures.
If your vehicle does not have an automatic climate control
system, the system will turn on at the setting the vehicle
was set to when the vehicle was last turned off."
Neither of the above is happening. So this morning before I turned the truck off, I pushed the "Auto" button, and still no go when I remote started this afternoon. The truck is still covered under warranty, and I can make an appt, but would rather check here first in case I am doing something wrong.
Thanks for any feedback! Happy New Year!
PS - Anyone know how I can find out what options are installed on my truck?
