Default Remote Start Feature - 07 Tahoe LS

Can anyone tell me how to tell if my 07 Tahoe has the OEM Remote Start feature already installed, or what does it take to install one. I can find the Keyfob's all day long, but nothing telling me how to find out if it's already on the truck.

Your Tahoe is what GM calls "remote start ready". You need to buy the remote start kit (part number 19154445 or 19154444) and have the dealer install it as it needs the Tech II programming.

Your vehicle is only remote start readyif you have RPO AP8. If you do not see this RPO code in the glove box, then you cannot add a factory remote start.

Make sure you buy the kit from a GM dealer. Do not buy one online as you need to have a number from the kit to have the software unlocked. If you buy it online the number may or may not be included with the kit
