That exactly what I'm going to do before I move it to the windshield position.

 

Okay, I moved the antenna to the front windshield today. Test results to come. I'm going to test it this weekend. I plan on testing it in the same parking lot in the same positions, and distances.

 

I am officially done with the 2-way remote system. I tested it over this past weekend and I get no distance out of it at all. It's a total disappointment.

I pulled the 2-way remote module out of the truck and put back in my original remote start/RKE module, but I did leave it connected to the diversity antenna. I'm going to test it from the regular spot this Sunday. I do have to say it's so much nicer having my small FOB back in my pocket. That 2-way remote was the size of a cell phone.

 

No Sh!* it is that big!?! I have been wanting to do the upgrade but its on a long list of like to do's guess I need to run by the dealership and take a look at this 2 way remote

On another note my old RKE is working just fine with the diversity antenna still hooked up. Might as well utilize it, instead of having the little 2 feet of antenna that hangs off the module.
