Default removing 07 burb crossbars

I want to remove the crossbars from the luggage rack on top of my 07 burb. It appears that the only way to get them off is by unscrewing the front or rear roof mounts and sliding the cross bars off. It looks like there is only 2 screws/mount so it doesn't appear to be to difficult. Should I be worried about the roof leaking if I take these off and put them back on after I get the crossbars off? Do I need to put anything on the screws or mount when I put it back on? Is there anything else I should worry about when doing this? Like I said it seems pretty easy, but I just don't want to cause myself a lot of trouble by doing it. thanks

Default X Bars

I removed the cross bars from my '09 without any issues.

unscrew the fronts, slide off, then just screw them back down... its a bit of a pain, but took me maybe 6 min?

I'll never put anything up there, and they have to cut down on the MPG just a hair.

also, it's MUCH easier to wash / wax the roof w/out the cross bars...
