Default Removing rear bumper cover.

I want to swap rear bumper "step pads" with a Denali since it has the chrome strip, but I don't know how to remove it. I got as far as popping the tabs on top, but there are tabs under the chrome strip that you have to get under the bumper cover to pinch.

So, I need help trying to get the rear bumper cover off. So far, I've removed the 2 screws behind the rear wheels, and the plastic clips that are right under those [1 on each side]. Then, I took off the screws that align where the liftgate closes, but there are 2 plastic clips that I have no idea how to get off without removing the whole bumper.

Any help? Thanks

Why not just get some on that "chrome" trim at a body shop or parts store and stick it on? It comes w/ 3M body tape. Haven't seen what GM uses but probably the same thing.

Well, I've considered that before but I'd have to order it online and everything while on the other hand, I have this one here ready to go as soon as I can get the bumper pad off.

I actually got it off! It has 3 screws on each side under the car, you have to feel for them. Then I found out that the reverse sensors are plastic-tied to the tabs of the pad, so I had to cut those and mess with the tabs until they came up, and put the Denali's pad on, put it all back and voila:

Zach, if you can do a "how to" on removing the rear fascia and bumper cover, that would be a good sticky to add to the helpful post.
I know someone had a post on here a while back wanting to know how to access the backup sensors and it sounds like you got right to them.

Okay, I have the guide written. I'll post it tomorrow after I take some pictures to go along with it, and review the guide with my dad to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Zach - I'm thinking about doing the exact same thing with my yukon but not sure if i can change out the rear bumper pad. Did you ever post the how to instructions?
Btw, looks really good, my yukon is also black.
