From the previous posts I've found online I believe I have a broken snapring in the back of my transfer case.

Can anyone tell if they are familiar with this fix and am I looking in the right area where the snap ring has broken. I have a grinding noise when I hit the gas too hard or make right turns or just hit the gas hard like I said.

I believe this part goes in the back of the transfer case where the rear drive shaft enters the case, can anyone enlighten me if I'm heading in the correct area? Thank You.
