Revolutions for lifetime
Just because I was bored...
1995 Tahoe w/31" tires
650.58 tire revolutions per mile.
and I have a 3.73 rear end...
so thats
2426.673895
revolutions of the rear driveshaft per mile.
I have 215,000 miles on my tahoe.
thats 521734887.5 revolutions. (about, right)
so; ESTIMATING always driving in 3rd gear (1:1) (Makes the math easy) (and city driving) 1,2,3, + 4th
that means that my 14 year old engine has turned over
(OVER, with idle + traffic, etc)
521,734,887 times...
so thats 1/2 million revolutions
is my math close enough?
I got the idea from Top Gear, Cap't slow said some old car came with an engine revolution counter....
I think my 1/2 million revs is conservative considering 1st and 2nd gear, and idle...
