Road Trip
Just got back from our camping trip to West Texas, will post my MPG as soon as I get them added and averaged, here is a pic of the Tahoe at 6500 feet above sea level at the McDonald Observatory. My best average economy was 23 mpg...
I also rolled over my first 10K on this trip

RE: Road Trip
got my numbers added up...
Our trip out was 447 miles with an average of 18.73mpg.
On the way back it was 514 miles,we went a senic route with an average of 20.8mpg.
Total trip was 961 miles, 69 gallons of gas at a total average of 19.76mpg. The posted speed limit is 80mph on I-10 in West Texas
I used the cruise control and that maintained the 75-80 miles per hour speed limit up hills. I think if I had used my foot and coasted up more hills and done 70mph only, I would have done better.
My highest mpg was 22.5 and lowest was 18.5 at fill up, considering its a 5000 pound truck loaded with camping gear and bicycles on the back the mileage was decent was hoping for a 1 or 2 more, if I had done 65-70mph I probalby would have gotten it.
Thanks for indulging my trip details
