Rubbing sound when turning
1/19/24 update GM called for appointment #6 truck going back to dealer 1/23. After front diff was replaced in December noise has just gotten progressively worse and louder even when in reverse. I filed lemon law and was approved for the repurchase replacement but FL lemon law states you have to pay for used mileage on the vehicle, I cannot afford to loose almost 20k on a $70k truck that is paid off. I guess I will be taking it back every month till they figure this out.
Thanks for your update.Taking mine back 1/22 last thing they did was flush the differential. Yours was replaced or re built... I was told if they try to mess with it, it could get worse.... Honestly, thinking about trade in or selling but I don't even know because I'll lose out in a couple grand but maybe worth if this gets even worst but again seeing what to do.... it's about to be 3 years next month since I bought it. Just crazy....
Supposedly they changed front diff with a new one. Just made sound worse. Purchased mine June 2021 0 miles right off the transport rig. Same thing with me considering trading in but it hurts that we worked so hard to pay it off to have to get into another payment especially in this economy.

Hello,
I have a 2022 Chevrolet Suburban RST purchased new. It started making a rubbing, clunk or vibration noise coming from the front driver wheel well area within the first 500 miles of purchase.
The noise only happened when the outside ambient temperature was below 70. Took it to dealership last winter no solution. The noise went completely away over the warmer months. Well the noise now is more pronounced and more often than last year once our temperatures dropped below 70 degrees.
Took it back to dealership last week. They tightened rear sway bars to torque spec but no change. Still making noise.
I will keep you posted on next steps at dealership. This thread is very helpful and seems like the same issue among all of us.
thank you

Thanks for your post - seems like with this issue no one has received a solution. I'm wondering what will happen when more and more of us go to dealership, seems like they don't know what they are doing if you ask me, they need a remedy quickly before this blows up in their face, at this point they deserve it. Taking us time to take to dealer and we paid good money on these vehicles, not cheap.....

Dropped off car 1/22 for visit number 6. Currently still in a loaner. My suggestion to you all is if you are still within the 36k mileage file a complaint with BBB lemon law if over warranty mileage file a direct complaint with BBB. At the least there will be 3rd party documentation of the issue. If we all raise hell together they will have no choice but to actually address it. I have posted my issue on every forum I’ve found.

wishing you the best of luck, from what I know and read replacing it hasn't fixed the problem. Atleast they are doing something. Thanks for your update.
