Default Running Boards for 2016 Tahoe LT

I'm considering replacing the running boards to my 2016 Tahoe LT. Do the OEM or after market running boards really help that much? I'm getting on up there in years and am wondering if they would make it much easier for me to get into the truck when compared to the running boards that came on the truck. Any comments, recommendations, including brands, would be much appreciated.

I am also considering the retractable ones which are about $ 1540 installed.

I wouldn't go retractable. Corrosion and burnt out motors. I like the standard factory ones. Wife is 5'5 and uses them all the time

98bluewave: Welcome to the forum.

What running boards do you have now? I thought they all came with factory boards.

I know that LTZ is the only model that has available retractable power steps.
