Default Seat belt failure

Ok looking for OE style replacement driver side seat belt in blue for my 89 Suburban or at least some where to get them professionally repaired. The latch button spring on the receiver end has failed and is not keeping the belt fasten. I have looked around and all I have come up with are 3 point after market which is not anywhere similar to the factory. Can anyone on here offer any direction to go?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

you can try to you email Chris webmaster@73-87chevytrucks.com
http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php im also a mod on there, so just tell him irish sent you lol
he owns that site, dedicated to the square body trucks (73-91) and also runs a store that only deals with those trucks and he only sells parts that he would use

you can also try lmc but customer service stinks and ive heard bad stories about cheap Chinese parts

When my 3 year old daughter broke the seat belt latch on our 7 year old Jeep Cherokee (out of warranty), I complained to Jeep HQ about how a device that's intended to save someone's life during a collision could be broken by a 3 year old. Jeep decided to replace the seat belt for free if I would install it myself, which was easy. So that path might be worth a try.

Cusser, its a 30 year old vehicle - The MFG is not going to care, nor be able to do anything as the parts have long been discontinued. ....but thanks anyway for the reply.

Adam - have you contacted https://www.seatbeltplanet.com or seatbeltsplus.com about replacement or repairing yours?

I only checked the rewebbing sites and did not see anything about repair. I will call them Monday when they open up and see if they do repairs on older seat belts.

Yes tried several but nothing found, also had them check through their network but still nothing. Still waiting for a reply to the email I sent to Chris. Its hard to believe its this hard and that a seatbelt might make our daily driver unusable. This vehicle came to us 1 year old and plan on driving it for the rest of our lives but the lack of parts might change that....hope not its always and still rans so good.

Mechanical parts are not hard to get. You can keep it running for many years with the available parts. Certain parts which do not need replacing often might be hard to get. Seat belts are available as long as you do not demand oem parts.

Thanks Oldchevy, its just my desire to keep it OE and my surprise I have not been able to find any NOS seat belts out there as I have been able to with other parts I have needed over the years.

Thanks Cusser, I went on line yesterday and made a list of rewebbing/restore places to contact tomorrow once they open up.
