hi
just bought a 2005 chev tahoe Z71 with 154k
getting messages service air bag, service 4wdr been told it is some electrical under the dash any places i could start looking at ??

another problem is i can't get the a/c compressor to kick on tried by-passing the evap still no luck , swicthed relays still nothing again where do i start looking

Welcome to the forum.

You can try jumpering the hi and lo pressure switches momentarily to see if that will allow the compressor to run. Or is that what you meant by by-passing the evaporator?

Best thing tho would be to check the pressure. I suspect that you may have a discharged system.

Did you check this truck out before you bought it?

yes that is what i meant by by-passing the evap
have checked relays an fuses

we bought the Tahoe from my wife's aunt knew what was wrong just want to try an fix the problems can live without a/c but would be nice on the really hot/humid days

got the service 4wd message to go away ( hit the dash above the switches) just service air bag comes on now

Need to put a set of gauges on the A/C to see if it has sufficient charge.
