i am antonio, my knowledge on engines is near ZERO

but i love cars, i am going to travel from england to italy in september with my 96 tahoe, i am worry because of difficulty of finding parts around here, before i go i will have a service, the local garage help me but is the only american cars they have ever seen until now but is a very good garage expert in 4 wheels drive cars

anyone is so kind to tel me what a service on a tahoe most requires before a long trip, maybe i will have some to pass to garage

the car run fine and start well, i see lot of tahoe do not like humid and damp and not start easily, but since i use ww40 on engine bay start so well even here with beautiful "ENGLISH SUNSHINE"

has only 70 thousand miles and lot of work done before, meticoulos former owner kept every invoice, including one for 2.700 pound for new gearbox and at least other 5000 pounds for other works!!

the geart shold be fine, battery is new, new belts, what else please?

With those miles, I'd do an oil and filter change, transmission fluidand filter change, both differential oil change, and transfer case fluid change. Of course if the previous owner has done any or all of these recently, then you don't need to repeat. Good luck with your truck.

 

hi shark thanks a lot for the reply, i believe lot has been done but i will give any old invoices of prior works to the garage, after i looked myself and i will surely have a good time driving down to italy with this fantastic machine!!
