Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Short driver

Hello,
New to forum. I just purchased a new 2024 Tahoe High Country. I have owned Suburban's and Tahoe in the past. We traded an Expedition for this Tahoe. We like it very much.............except...................
My wife is short but never seemed to have a problem reaching the gas/brake pedals in the past on the Suburban's or the Tahoe. The Expedition had adjustable pedals so that was not problem. So when purchasing this new Tahoe we really didn't expect any problem.
She can adjust the seat so to reach everything but it puts her so close to the steering wheel and thus if the 'air bag' were to deploy she would be almost on top of it. We can put a seat pillow behind her to alleviate the situation some but then the cooling and heating options are kinda defeated.
I've seen on amazon and other places 'pedal extensions' but they don't seem to be a good solution and I don't think a Tahoe is capable of using of what I see.
Has anyone on this forum have the situation I am describing? Do you have a short driver and how, if at all, remedied the situation?
thanks

Same problem. Did you come up with a solution?

I would love a solution for this. My wife and I both really like the Suburban but being short it is just incredibly uncomfortable/unsafe for her. We have tried the Expedition but just haven’t been impressed with the EcoBoost or ride. The universal pedal extenders are just too suspect for either of us.
