Default Can I order a driver's side step?

My MOm is on her 3rd Tahoe, loves them but she's getting older and has bad knee and it's getting real hard for her to get in and out of her Tahoe.
Can she order a step that comes out of her Tahoe to help her get up in it or perhaps one that comes out from under the Tahoe?
She will order a new one if she can get that as an option,.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Indicating the year of her Tahoe would be helpful.

Welcome to the forum.

Are you talking about something in addition to the factory running board?

Default Mom's Tahoe needs a stepup

sorry I forgot to tell you that her Tahoe is a 2008 Tahoe she bought in 2007. She usually only keeps them for 2 years or so then buys a new one. So I'd like to know if she can buy it and have it put on as an aftermarker kind of product or if she orders a new Tahoe can it be special ordered with a riser step installed on it.
I'm not sure what these steps are called.
However, whatever help you can give me is greatly apreciated.
Thanks much!
Chris

Yes I'm speaking of something other then the running board. The board is not sufficient for her to get up into her Tahoe. She also has really big tires. Thanks in advance

Ah, ok. Hmm... Don't think there's anything factory to be special-ordered.

Default re So how about an after market product?

So if she cant' order any kind of step from factory on a new Tahoe does anyone know of anyone who makes some kind of step that can be installed by a professional body mechanic?
Thanks for your replies.

What ever you/she get, it'll have to retract somehow if it is below the running board. What size tires does she have on it? I'm assuming you meant something larger than the stock 20s.

Might check Stylin' Trucks as I've seen something like that for pickups but it was in lieu of a running board but maybe could be modified someway.
