Default Engine Noise

Hey guys, I have a 09 LTZ. Yesterday I turned the truck on and there was a ticking sound coming from the engine. It almost sounded like a valve slap. I revved the engine to build oil pressure and it went away and has not come back. Has anybody experience this that may be able to give an explanation? Thanks....

Yeah, I also thought it may be a lifter. Weird thing is it has not happen again. It must have been a fluke. I'll keep a close eye on it though. Thanks.....

Might have your service dept write it up for history in case something goes south later.

That's a good idea. I will take it in soon for service and I will bring it up then. Thanks...
