2008 suburban with 40,000 miles oil change

2008 suburban with 40,000 miles on it, would it be ok to switch to synthetic oil? thanks

Only if you want your engine to last longer. You can switch to synthetic any time,

thanks, because i read a couple of threat and they said it might cause leakage. so i'm kind of afraid.

Synthetic oil does not cause leaks. If a engine already leaks oil it will leak worse. This is because the molecules are smaller and the oil is more slippery.

thanks for clarified that, switching to mobil 1 this weekend.
