RE: SHOW YOUR HOE! POST THEM PICS BOYS!
Here are a few pics of my Tahoe! She is anLT1 with a Precision Phat Grille. I plan on painting the front and rear Bowties this weekend (weather permitting). Stillundecided on the wheels I'm gonna put on her. I have put a deadline to purchase them since I've been putting it off for about 2 months now. I will purchase wheels by March 1st! and will update photos soon thereafter.

RE: SHOW YOUR HOE! POST THEM PICS BOYS!
for those of you with the precision phat billet grille, how hard was the install?
did you have to remove the standard grille?
anyone got the time to take pics of the mounting hardware?
Thanks

Ironcy,
I have had 4 different aftermarket grilles, and 2 of them were a the Phat Billet Grille. Those pictures dont do it justice, and I am sure Jeff will tell you the same thing!
Anyways, as for installation you can do it as an overaly, or you can cut the factory honey comb out. Jeff has it in his as an overlay, I installed mine as a cutout. I probably would do it as a cutout if I did it again just so I still had the factory honey comb there! I dont have pictures of the hardware. If you do the cutout, it can be a pain in the *** to cut the honey comb. But I think it looks a little better. IF you do it as an overaly it will be easier, HENCE no cutting. Either way the actual install hardware is very simple and easy to use. It comes with instructions and you shouldnt have a problem. I have some info on the site abot how to remove the entire factory grille! Good luck and I can tell you the Phat Billet is the best looking bar grille I have found yet, Pictures dont show hot good and thick it really is.

Ironcy,
like Biglg said, the install is really easy as an overlay and b/c the grille bars are so thick you can't even see the honeycomb unless you get inches away from it. The install took about 20 minutes and when I paint my bowtie on Saturday I will take some pics of the hardware if its possible. The space you have to work with is fairly small so I'm not sure good the pics will be. We shall see. BTW-I love the Phat billet and I have got nothing but compliments on it since its been on. I also think its the best looking grille around.

big/jeff
thanks for the prompt replies. Jeff, if you can take pics, I would be interested in seeing them.
how does the grille mount to the tahoe? This is what I am really trying to understand, especially if the original grille is still in place...
I want to avoid removing the factory grille to put this on in place.
Thanks

The billet grille fits ontop of the honeycomb hence the name (overlay) and it bolts onto the backside of the honeycomb which"locks" it into place. Its kinda hard to explain in writing but once you have all the materials in front of you it is very easy to understand. If I can get some good pics Sat. I will post them soon after.
