My right side mirror will show the detection system is indicating vehicle present all of the time. Even when the vehicle is off and not moving in my driveway. When I'm moving the indicator will turn on and off without another vehicle present. The dealer tells me I need a side mirror control module at a cost of over $700. Any ideas ?

 

get behind the mirror, unplug the light, call it a day...? one option. Not ideal, but also not $700.
