Default Simple Yet Unanswered/ What type of Power Steering Fluid???

Alright I'm probably way over thinking this one but!
On a 1996 K2500 Suburban with a 7.4

I installed a brand new nice BBB steering box, all new lines & about to install a new BBB pump.
Once that's all done in the next couple days, I really want to add synthetic power steering fluid.
Yet nobody seems to know what it takes?

Usually always had a Ford or Toyota that took DEX 3 or similar. Or should I just use regular AC Delco power steering fluid?

I even called our local GMC dealership parts counter & the guy after 5 mins on hold said I think its DEX like the tranny. His hesitation installed a high doubt factor in me.

Thanks for any info in advance!

There are all kinds of power steering fluids out there. I'd go full-synthetic fluid no matter what brand you decide to use..

Alright after some more searching I'm gonna end up going with Valvoline synthetic dex if someone comes across this post in the future maybe it'll help them out.

You get alot of quality fluid for a descent price.
