Hi guys, im new to this forum. I just got an 07 tahoe (452 miles on it) and when I come to a stop or when in park,I feel a very slight vibration.. Some times it will do it sometimes it wont. I took it to the dealer and the tech didnt feel it and he also told me that it was a 5.3 VORTECH engine and that theidle is kind of rough on this trucks. They kept the truck for 2 hours and didnt find anything wrong with it. No codes what so ever. Its a brand new vehicle. Just got it 2 weeks ago. Iwouldfigure itshould be smooth. Right???? Would it be the kind of gas in it?I put premium on it.Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

[sm=welcomesign.gif]to the forum. For one thing, save your bucks and just use regular unless you've used a programmer and really need premium. Not sure that the 5.3 vibrating should be considered normal. Mine sure doesn't.

 

Thats what I thought that the slight vibration isnt normal. I looked at some old post in here and it seems some have a similar problem with the vibration. I also saw that zx1100f1 posted something about emission regulation laws etc. Might it be link to that. Im from Houston, Texas if that helps. I think im going to take to another dealership andget asecond opinion.

 

Mine had a slight vibration as well at idle (very slight) but went away on its own after 1000-2000 miles. I do remember reading the post from ZX about emissions and I believe this to be true. Good Luck
