My previous truck was a 2WD 2002 TrailBlazer and with traction control, it would go anywhere in the snow if you drove sanely which a lot of folks with 4WD pickups don't seem to do. They seem to forget that you can't stop any quicker with 4WD and wind up in the ditch.

So yes you can drive in snow with 2WD. Just don't get crazy.

2WD is fine but I saw more than one 4WD stuck this week. We had 5 inches of snow followed by 4 inches of frozen rain/sleet then snow again. It then stayed about 12-19 degrees for two days. It was very slimy underneath and crusty on top. A heavy well powered 4WD was a must this week.

Iam VERY pleased with my Tahoe. Best 4WD I ever owned.

Not really. Talk to police officers up here and they actually recommend taking your vehicle to empty parking lots and practice driving when your vehicle is sliding. It teaches people how to drive in these conditions and how to have good car control. When you start sliding in the snow, and everybody does, you'll then be better prepared to avoid a collision.

What you call reckless driving I call practicing car control. Maybe a little over the top but still very valuable practice.
