Default indexing

Yes indexinging the plug to direct maximum spark directed toward combustion chamber Hmmm OK heres what i got, If i remember correctly, it was used primarily by drag racers back in the day and even then the h.p. gain-increase was fairly if at all noticable, . but if you would like to give it a try LOL heres how! you must (shim) each plug to reach desired direction of spark toward combustion chamber and still maintain proper plug torque settings ! old schoolers used washers of various thickness homemade ground in 2 to 5 thousands increments. ya know, what with the new hei and comp. controlled systems and reconfigured heads and comb. chambers and on and on its not really necessary in present times, these powerplants burn hot and clean sooo long story short its a real pain in the a.. ! But always a good story to share with other gearheads over a cold one ! hope this helps some what

A recent episode of Horsepower TV indexed the plugs on an engine that they had just dynoed and picked up a few ponies and ft-lbs.

I saw that same episode about indexing, I have never done it myself but it seams to make sense. I think it was mainly and add for a product of indexing spacers they were promoting.

I have no idea as to any of your questions. Try googling Horsepower TV. They may have old episodes there.
