Question speedo moving backwards when accelerating 2005 Suburban 1500 ?!

My wife just informed me that the speedo is actually dropping when she accelerates..
In addition, in the past, the oil gauge has pegged, although oil pressure is fine.
Oh, and we've seen the clock reset recently, out of the blue...

Are they related do you think?
Is the speedo thing, a regular 'GM thing'?

thanks,
Rich

GM had a problem with the stepper motors in the gauges from 2003 to about 2006. They would do crazy things like you mention. Disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes would reset them, but only temporarily. If this is your problem, the only permanent fix is to replace the stepper motors. If you do it, replace all 6 of them at the same time.

I like trying the cheap and easy first. Disconnect the battery for a minute or so and reconnect it. Doing so has eliminated many a gremlins in my vehicles in the past. If it doesn't work hopefully someone else will have an answer for you, because I've never heard of that combination of problems.
