Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Stalling issues

I have a 96 suburban with the 5.7 that I use to haul my 7x16 enclosed to dirtbike races. Last few races it has died 15 to 20 miles from the house. Starts up within a minute. Then it's good the rest of the weekend. Last 3 races it's done it and they've been 3+ hours from the house. The suburban sits a couple weeks between raves sometimes. Thanks.

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter ? They are a 30k mile service item and that is a symptom.

Around 7500 miles replaced the fuel pump at same time. Used a Delphi pump

Ignition module, then ign sw, is where I would start as a retired mechanic. That is if it cuts off like a light switch. If it stumbles and dies slowly, I would be looking at fuel issues.

There is a pickup coil in the dist also. Often, I would pull the dist and replace both
