Might check some of the suppliers that offer the faux wood trim kits as they also have some that look like the metal trim.

The 2010 trim seems a little darker than my '07 was. More like a titanium finish.

You can buy the matched wood here:

Looks pretty good. What are your opinions on how well it matches the OEM wood? Hard to tell for sure in the pic. Also, are the pieces sitting flush on the edges and not sticking up?
I'm still considering the wood spokes since my wheel looks pretty much like yours did. I'm also considering just fitting the wood wheel itself. Of course that is about $230 more....

I've got the same problem. How difficult is it to install the overlays and how are they attached ? Seems as if it is over the rubber coating they might tend to loosen up if more rubber coating decides to come off.

Does anyone know if these plastic covers just pop off the wheel without removing the airbag?

I see four small holes in the back of the wheel itself, suggesting either screws or clips.

Help anyone??

I'm thinking that they just stick over top of your existing black spokes. Now I haven't installed them so someone that has will have to confirm. Since they are coming from wooddash.com I would assume that they just stick over top, just like all of their products do.

That is why I asked the question above about whether or not they were flush on the edges.

I am not looking to add new ones - I want to remove the OLD ones and refinish or recover them.

Just need to know how to pop them off.....

Gotcha. I suppose you have a wide array of options. I'd love to be able to cover/paint mine so that they would look like the metal that surrounds the vents.

You can check out this site, they have a few install guides for the steering wheel under "technical files" section. Not specific to the black spokes but perhaps you can gain some info from looking at them.
