That is also what I read into the post, and suspect the incorrect bit was used or a cheap knockoff torx bit was used... There are some tools you just can't cheap out on...

I also had the same problem on my 05 Chevy suburban I used the correct bit pay $27 for it and it still stripped the head so I unmounted the bracket and slid the caliper off the bracket just enough to remove the old pads and replaced with new
