Default Suburban hunting - need help

Hi everyone, my wife and I are looking for a used 03-06 4wd Suburban for our growing family and I'm having a hard time figuring out which ones have Stability control. I've seen some that will have a Traction Control button on the dash but I'm really wanting Stability control. I know it was optional some of these years but when I email the dealers they don't really have a clue if it has it on the vehicle or not. We're only looking at vehicles with 4wd with leather seats if that helps at all. Thanks in advance for any responses.

If you can get the VIN all you have to do is plug it into the decoder that's on this site and it will tell you what equipment the vehicle has.

VIN Decoder - Chevrolet Forum - Chevy Enthusiasts Forums

This is the one for my Yukon. Click on the equipment tab. See the third entry? It shows the vehicle has StabiliTrac installed.

Just plug in your VIN and it will tell you what you want to know.

I used this feature all the time when I was shopping as the dealers usually don't know squat about what equipment a used vehicle has.

I've used the VIN decoder on about 10 different Suburbans that I've been checking out but I can't find a single one that shows it has Stabilitrak. I've even put in newer ones that I'm sure have it (I think it was standard in 2006). Is there any way to tell if it has Stabilitrak once I'm inside the truck checking it out?
Thanks,
Ben

Here's the page from my owner's manual about the StabiliTrak system:

From that description it seems that if the vehicle has the button here in the dash it has the system installed. I'm guessing that spot is blank if the vehicle does not have StabiliTrack.

This is in my '03 Yukon and could vary in other years and models. That I don't know, but you'd think it would all be similar.

Looking at the center IP, to the right of the climate control, there will be a button to disable the Stabilitrak. No button, no Stabilitrak.

These pics are from eBay listings. No idea how long they'll be up.

Awesome! Thanks for posting those replies. We'll probably be checking out a couple today and that really helps.
