Default Sunroof Question

I noticed today that when pushing the sunroof button all the way in to open automatically, that the sunroof stops about 2" to 3" short of being completely open. After it stops, I was able tohold the button again and the sunroof would open the remaining 2" to 3". Is there something wrong with mine that it won't open all the way or does everyone's sunroof act this way? Try it out and let me know.

Mine does it as well. Just a feature of the SUV...not sure why though.

From the full closed position, the sunroof is designed to stop at about 80% of the opening cycle.

You will have to release the sunroof close switch and press the switch down again to completely open the sunroof. This change was implemented on GMT900 vehicles built on and after April 10, 2006.

This small change in operation was implemented to reduce a boom/wind buffeting noise at 25-40 MPH, if you prefer the sunroof all the way open you may experience some of the aforementioned boom/buffeting effect.

Thanks for educating me ZX. I was hoping I hadn't broken something on the sunroof to cause this to happen. I can live with the noise, I like it all the way open, but I still don't get the full effect of an opened aired vehicle like I did with my Jeep Rubicon [8D].
