anyone out there throw a super charger on the 5.3L?

The 6.2L is only a $1,000 more, but it looks like a super is in the $4500 + install range...

shoulda went for the 6.2L... dammit... lol...

 

I thought you got the 6.2. Too late now as it was a one year option due to low take rate.

There was a guy on the now defunct Tahoeforum that claimed to have a Procharger but never seemed to be able to post any pics or provide any other details like cost. I think your $4,500 may be low.

 

I just googled 5.3L supercharger and found one for a 06 at that price... so yea, it may be off... but the 6.2L would have been cheaper.

I'd at least like to have driven one... preferably the escalade though w/the AWD...

thats my 07 2500 sub that the pics and dyno are of.

more than the magnusson and more power than the magnusson, of course your results won't be as nice since my sub starts with a 6.0 vs. a 5.3 but it gives you a ballpark, same truck as mine with a magnusson dyno'd in the 430 hp area vs my 537 same starting point.

My 07 Escalade does have a lot of power, but don't kid yourself, we all always want just a little more out of it no matter what we have under the hood, don't we?

 

I don't know........my 2000 tahoe has a 502 crate motor and a 200 shot......I got the sub for something a lil tamer for every day
