SVC 4 WHEEL DRIVE warning
Hello everyone,
I have a situation with my 2003 chevy tahoe (4X4) every once in a awhile i get this warning to pop up when I start the vehicle, plus no lights turn on on on the 4X4 selector buttons. Then book say pull over shut the car off wait a minute or two then it should go away, and that if it doesnt get the 4 wheel drive serviced right away. it goes away, but my question is there a way that I myself can reset that warning? can I reset it in a simular way as the change oil warning? do I need any tools for this. i plan on service all the 4X4 componits myself but no where can I find the way to reset that warning not in owners manuel or haynes book...
thanks in advance for any help on this matter

seems like no one is interested in helping
I now have learned that it is possible the sensor gets wet, and causes the warning, I guest there is nothing you can do about it except keep that sensor dry if possible

if the light comes on, doesnt it mean it needs to be serviced? why not bring it in and have it checked... easiest solution if you cant figure it out asap, just my 2 cents best of luck
if the 4x4 buttons dont work its prob a internal wire behind the dash, or your connector is bad, i have my 4x4 push buttons tilted and angled so it stays on in 2wd at all times, if it sits in the spot its supposed to it dont light up or show me a orange color for 2wd, so i always check to see if mine lights up from the startup if not i angle and keep half the button angled and turned/pulled out but enough to were it holds the charge!

most mechanics charger 60-100 an hour, call around go google garages near you talk about whats going on and get some estimates also do free disgnostics and tell you wats wrong with it
i got all my electric at any job done within an hours work 60$ an hour, its not hard if they know what there doing and you sound like you do to, my garage is certified in BMW/Merc cars/Suvs so if they work on them i trust them with the tahoe, i get 60 an hour at a garage just look around local areas
