Tahoe 1999, running badly, gear problem etc, engine light flash.
From the start I had some kind of ground issues so I made a ground cable and connected from battery to engine
Then the car started.
Rough idle thou 900-1100 RPM
Driving at approx 37-40mph car wants to switch gear but its hard....
after accelrating a little, it finally switch gear and after a short while
chek engine lit and a couple of seconds later it flashes.
What could this be?

Flashing engine light is the indication of a cylinder miss fire and continued running will damage the catalytic convertors.
A scan of the stored computer failure codes is in order and the first step in diagnosis.
