Tahoe or Suburbans to avoid?
My bad, I meant oil burn.
Yes, valve covers and shields mitigated the oil burn issues, however, I suspect that this was in response to the issues that owners were reporting. Again, once the issue became more well know, owners began to pay more attention and alerted GM/dealers.
I guess I don't quite understand what the afm does or stands for, can someone fill me in. Im guessing that the afm has something to do with the taking it from 8 cylinder mode to 4 cylinder mode. rite now my 07 has 81000 miles on it and seems to run good but if I can disable the afm to avoid problems I would like to. Who make a tuner to shut it off, diablo? Super chips?
However, my '08 has most of those gizmos, and everything works exactly as it should 7 years later.
Where do you find these modules to shut off afm system? Might it be possible to shut system off by removing fuse? have 2007 Tahoe with 125k and it seems like it is starting to use oil at 1 qt. every 2k. Is this normal? Never had a GM product that used oil between changes.
I got ordered it at autoanything.com its called a <table id="yui_3_16_0_1_1427250429648_1814" style="width: 100%; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 14px; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: rgb(221, 222, 222);"><tbody id="yui_3_16_0_1_1427250429648_1813"><tr id="yui_3_16_0_1_1427250429648_1821"><td id="yui_3_16_0_1_1427250429648_1826" style="width: 20px;"></td><td id="yui_3_16_0_1_1427250429648_1820"> Range Active Fuel Management
