Tahoe vs Trailblazer for families?
Hello - we're looking for a used vehicle to carry kids around to replace my wife's 2009 Buick Enclave with 150k. I just had to replace one of the CV axles on this rig and I had to take it in to my mechanic to clear up all the Stabilitrak warnings afterwards, and he said I should sell this thing asap. So we've been looking at 2000-2008 Tahoes, Expeditions and Sequoias lately (I am so done with FWD now). But for some reason the Trailblazer EXT and Envoy XL have really caught my eye. In fact it may be getting to somewhat of an obsession. I may even want to get a regular 5 seater Trailblazer for myself to replace my current Honda Accord V6. I'm assuming the biggest engine I will be able to get with either is a 5.3, so I am concerned about how well they take off from a stoplight and merge on the freeway. Also interested in durablilty - are these both capable of getting to 300k without too many problems like a Sequoia? Anyone with experience with both of these trucks, Tahoe and Trailblazer? There's actually a real nice 2006 trailblazer with the 4200 Vortec available cheap right now, but not sure if that has enough power for me. I'd appreciate any comments.
