Default Tahoe/Yukon backup camera

for all the GM guru's out there. how do you know if the vehicle is prowired for the backup camera. i have a 2007 Yukon 4x4 with everything but the camera. would like to add one, but i need to know if it is prewired before purchasing the parts. all help will be greatly appreciated.

Theres no wiring in the hatch. If it is there, its not in the hatch.

There are some pretty informative posts in this forum about wiring the rear camera. If you do a quick search you should be able to find one that was from a bit ago that had pictures and step by step instructions. I would strongly doubt there to be any pre-wiring.

If you turn to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, website (www.uspto.gov) you will find an interesting Patent. U.S. Patent #7,224,265 addresses this very issue. Please ask GM to incorporate this option! I have been ever since I became aware of it!

With the Back up camera, the mirrors can stay folded in until you're out of the garage!
