Default Tahoe Z71 replacement shocks

Hi everyone, I have an '04 Tahoe 4wd Z71 that needs new shocks. I usually buy OEM AC Delco replacement parts because everyone thinks that since I have a Z71 package, I take it off road. I don't, I just like having a 4wd Tahoe and if I could have bought it without the Z71, I would have but the dealers always want to add on the most packages for more money. SO, I want to buy 4 replacement shocks for my Z71 tahoe that are the closest thing to original monotube shocks as I can find. There are too many shocks to pick from online so has anyone replaced their shocks and still have a smooth ride? What do you recommend?
Thanks,
Surge

I use Monroe shocks. They work well and are cheaper than the big name brands.

I would go with the KYB, Monroe and Gabriel are junk, not what they used to be for sure.
KYB is a factory supplier for may vehicle makers also.
