Hi rryan,

We see that you're having some trouble with the Traction Control/ Stabilitrak indicator lights. Since you are still within your warranty we think you should have your dealership take a look at this as soon as possible. They're in the best position to have this issue properly addressed for you. If there's anything we can look into for you regarding this matter, please feel free to message us.

Exclamation Traction Control / Stabilitrak / Engine Limp Mode

Had the Traction Control / Stabilitrak indicator lights and flashing engine light appear out of the blue yesterday on my 2007 Tahoe LT. Had my wife and two kids in the car on a busy highway and the engine started running very rough with reduced power. Limped home and tried several of the remedies in various threads (include Edmunds) I found on this issue including tightening air intake fittings and disconnected battery overnight. Reconnected this morning and the engine/drive train was running perfect again until the lights started again. Again, rough engine with rough shifting. Clearly there is nothing "materially" wrong with the engine or drive train. The computer is creating the issue. I have also had the same oil burn issue everyone is referencing and have been managing that on a weekly/daily basis to ensure no engine damage occurred due to low oil.

Any new developments on a fix for this? It seems to be a VERY widespread issue on these model/years..

the presence of a flashing ses light makes your problem completely different from the OP.
Your problem has nothing to do with the abs or tcs systems which are disabled when certain powertrain codes set. Get this fixed pronto or your catalytic convertors will be damaged from the misfire condtion that is present.

start a new post to avoid confusion. get the powertrain codes read and include them in your post.
