Default Is there any way of finding which remote my burb uses

I just bought a 2001 suburban lt that didn't come with keyless remotes.
The previous owner lost them. I understand that there are 2 different fcc codes for that year. Is there a way to find out which one i need without going to the dealer?
thanks

Simply put, Dealer will order by VIN. Save yourself some grief, I was in the same situation, previous owner lost them. Do not get roped into the dealer programing for you, unless it's FREE, you can google and get the correct procedure. JMHO
