Default Which tint is this?

Hey all, I've tried decoding the VIN to see if it lists factory tint options (it doesn't), looking for pictures to see the difference (I can't) and I just thought I might as well ask. On the other side of the vehicle in this picture, the driver's rear quarter window has been busted out (thanks, thieves). I definitely do NOT have the $450 that Safelite or all of the other companies in my area want (lowest quote was $360), and I have found several in local junkyards for $25-50 (plus a little labor for them to pull it themselves since I'm a 5'1" woman and this is a BIG window that can get a little unwieldy.

BUT, here's my question. Is this tinted? I've seen so many different tint levels mentioned. Solar tint, grey tint, UV tint, green tint, no tint. Can someone tell me exactly what tint (or lack thereof) this is called? I would be so appreciative! Thanks in advance for any help!

It looks like the factory tint on my 1999 suburban.

On every factory window there is a label and in that etched marking is shown the percentage of light that passes through that window. Usually it says transparency and it's percentage. Front door and windshield are usually 70% transparency and rear privacy is usually around 25%.

Thanks so much for the replies! Do you guys happen to know whether this would be considered "grey" or "green"? I've seen that listed as options on used car part websites when I was looking for a used window. I mean....it doesn't look, like, GREEN to me. It looks pretty grey. Right?

GM uses grey, they haven't used green in a real long time.

It sounds like a standard factory tint, often called privacy or solar tint, which is usually a darker grey or smoke color. If you’re looking to replace it affordably, you could check out options like dyed tint from professional installers to match the factory appearance.
