Tips for removing 2007 Suburban half-shaft
I noticed a tear in one of the CV boots while doing my brakes. I purchased a re-man'd half-shaft and went to swap it out last night. But, I'm having trouble getting the old shaft out. It looks pretty easy in a youtube video I found, but when comparing my situation to the one in the video, front suspension is different.
Has anyone done this before and have any tips for me? What all do I need to remove to get the old shaft out?
I've removed the 6 bolts holding it to the transfer case and the hub nut is off. It seems to move pretty freely, but the lower control arm is getting in the way of being able to wriggle it out..

I didnt bother with removing the strut... Unbolted it from the a-arms did help. I kind of cheated because I didn't completely tear down the front left wheel assembly... I wriggled it every which and got it to work the same way for getting the old out and the new in...
