Most important whats the tallest 20" all terrain type tire I can use without rubbing. I was hoping for 33" but told they would rub without a lift which I will not do.
Looking for 2016 LTZ Suburban 4x4 taller more aggressive tire swap suggestions?
I dont like the look nor the likely traction in light mud or ice with the stock continentals. They look like minivan tires to me. I would like a slightly more aggressive look and a slightly taller (not wider) ride without giving up ride quality. A level kit would be considered. I currently rub slightly on the front spoiler or cowling whatever its called when I pull in my driveway unless I am going really slow. I live on a very busy street so getting in and out fast is somewhat of a need.
I feel about the same as I did when I got my last ride a 2011 Land Cruiser it looks a bit boring to me and like a soccer moms grocery getter that came with a $77K window sticker. I pretty much got every option as I wanted ventilated seats which means you have to get the LTZ even though I dont like the idea of powered rear seats.
Anyway I am leaning towards replacing the stock continental tires with Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar 265-60-R20s just to give it a little bit of a truck tire look and give me piece of mind if/when I go hog hunting I might not get stuck.
I am very open to suggestions and opinions. Anyone else done anything to a 2015-2016 to make it a little more off road capable and less soccer mom looking?
Below is what I got tire and wheel wise. One very important thing to me is not having any issues ever with rubbing but wouldn't mind if the tire was a bit taller even would prefer a bit taller without needing a lift or any rubbing. I will do a level kit if needed but again dont want to mess with the quality of ride. I think it will look good next to my 1972 Chevy K5 4x4 Blazer [IMG]. Thanks PG

Ok great I will check them out but would love to go to a 275 or 265-60-20R or a 265-65-20R to raise up the ride a little as I rub going in and out of my driveway unless I creep out super slow. What will fit without rubbing as they made it with very little clearance around the wheels when turned. Even an half in or a inch taller would be a huge help.
Thanks PG

Don't know about changing the tire size because anything taller is probably going to make it wider as well. What exactly rubs the airdam in front?
If it's that maybe you could look into the leveling kits these guys talk about. Or
You could look into the front air dam from a police pursuit Tahoe. It should have all the same mounting points. Maybe the special service vehicle Tahoe and suburbans have different air dams too.
Self correction. Arrggg

Thanks Blueinterceptor I think I might look into a 1.5" front and 1" back lift so I can do 33"s. Thanks for your post glad to know someone is on here! PG

do y0u have a2500 series truck? If not,its more tire than what you need. You will never have a radial tire ply variation problem (vibration you can't balance out) with these tires as the sidewall construction is superior to std load tires

BF Goodrich KO2's, I don't hv personal experience with them, but they are the tires I am going to put on next on my 07 Tahoe. They have them in 275-55-20. and they look to make them in a 275-60-20.
